Hope you love them as much as I do!

Even though I enjoy creating all my designs (mainly because if I don’t, I get tired and leave them mid way through), these 3 Japanese were really special. I created them as a nice reminder of our amazing time in Japan with the view of capturing those everyday things that make Japan so special. I know there are many other iconic things I can picture and share, but actually, it was the lovely scene you could see all around you, that made you feel part of Japan. Those little moments I treasured the most and that’s why I tried to capture them and now share with you!

Why buy the pack

The pack includes our collection of 3 prints depicting 3 Japanese scenes in a minimalist style. It allows you to get all of them at a reduced price compared to buying them individually! Just that simple!

  • Traditional Japanese restaurant
  • Japanese zen garden
  • Traditional Japanese building

As with any other prints you can select the sizes that best work for you. The sizes available are:

A3 297 x 420 mm 11.7 x 16.5 in
A4 210 x 297 mm 8.3 x 11.7 in
A5 148 x 210 mm 5.8 x 8.3 in

This three prints with clean lines and vibrant splashes of red are quickly turning into our best sellers. We have had amazing feedback from many of our lovely costumers which has made us so happy! Hope you like them too!

Travel, nature and science artist behind the art

Hello! I am a travel, nature and science artist and illustrator and I am the owner of Visual Distractions.

If you just got here, welcome! And if you’ve been here before, welcome back!

I just wanted to introduce myself and show you the face behind this small business.

My name is Kate Stopa. I am a travel, nature and science artist and illustrator based in the Uk. Currently I live in a lovely town in the Chiltern Hills, 2 minutes away from the woods but I grew up in Spain in a small town in the north of Madrid, surrounded by mountains, woods and a beautiful lake.

As a result, one of my main sources of inspiration is nature. Access to nature has always been important to me and it has made me the person that I am today. I love hiking and being in the Great Outdoors, but I also love animals, science and learning. I love going to museums and watching nature and science documentaries. You can see my nerdy side leaking into some of my designs in Visual Distractions!

The second source of inspiration for me is travel. I absolutely love travelling. I feel very lucky because I get to travel quite a lot every year, mostly around Europe (I have family in Poland, Germany and Spain! And I travel a lot to see them and then around their countries with them) but I have also had a chance to travel further afield in the last few years including places like Japan, Iceland and America. Bringing with me tonnes of photographs and inspiration!

I have been Illustrator and artist specialised in travel and nature art for quite some time but I opened my shop to the world about a year ago and it has been a very exciting experience so far. I am hoping to share my upcoming journey with you all from now on!

Well, this is me! Have a look around and hope to see you back soon!

Kate.
